Karly Regan is a commercial horticulture educator in Franklin County covering vegetables and small fruit, focusing  on integrated pest management. soil health, and horticultural crop production. She completed her Ph.D. in Entomology at Penn State in 2019, studying the impact of soil health practices, including cover crops and reduced tillage, on beneficial arthropods and pest management in organic field crop rotations. Prior to joining Penn State Extension, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher in vegetable entomology at Cornell University, studying methods to improve management of onion thrips and the impact of reduced fertilizer applications in commercial onion production.
