Region 7: Central Plains. 1-4 windy, very cold; 5-7 snow; 8-16 windy, then Arctic cold wave; 17-21 fair, not as cold; 22-23 snow; 24-26 windy, quite cold; 27-29 snow, heavy south; 30-31 fair, cold.

Region 8: Southern Plains. 1-6 showers, cool; 7-16 fair, windy, trending colder; 17-20 showers, mainly south; 21-24 fair, cool; 25-28 showers, snow north; 29-31 fair, cold.

Region 9: Rocky Mountains. 1-2 windy, bitter cold; 3-6 snow, heavy north & east; 7-18 fair, windy bitter cold; 19-22 snow from north to south; 23-25 fair, very cold; 26-28 snow mainly south; 29-31 fair, windy, very cold.
